Each set of Sony UWP-D11/D21 Wireless lavaliere mics contains a transmitter, which connects to the lavaliere microphone, and a receiver, which connects to the video camera. These mics are ideal for interviews or presentations, where a person wears the microphone by clipping it onto their clothes.

This is the older model of the Sony wireless mics. The main differences between this model and the D21 are how you access batteries and sync channels between the transmitter and receiver.
The following video goes over the basics for using the Sony UWP-D11.

Replacing Batteries
- Press and hold the buttons on the left and right sides and pull off the battery compartment.
- Flip over the battery compartment and pull up the rubber flap to open it. Insert two charged AA batteries.
- Reattach the battery compartment by sliding it back in place. Make sure you hear a “click” sound that indicates it is locked securely.
Basic Operation - Receiver
Press and hold the POWER (1) button to turn on/off. Toggle through the menu and setting options using the Plus and Minus (2) buttons. Press and hold the SET (3) button to enter a setting (like output level), and press SET again to select an option under that setting.
You can adjust output level and headphone level on the receiver. Output levels that are too high can cause overmodulation, or audio distortion.
