The following information covers commonly experienced technical issues when hosting a guest speaker over Zoom while teaching in a classroom on-Grounds.
Classroom Audio Distortion
If the audio output from your classroom microphone(s) sounds distorted, use the following steps.
- Go to the audio icon in Zoom and click the upward facing arrow. Select Audio Settings.
- Under Microphone, uncheck Automatically adjust microphone volume.
Fixing Guest Speaker Echo
- Ask your guest to enter their Zoom Audio Settings and select Advanced.
- Change Signal processing by Windows audio device drivers to Off and change Echo cancellation to Aggressive.
